Often homeless people are looked down upon and people try to avoid eye contact or conversation with them.
One woman was headed home late from work one day and just missed the last train for the day. Unsure what to do, she stood at the train station looking around for help, but all the staff had headed from for the day.
One homeless man stood up and walked over to her and told her that she would have to wait until 5 a.m. for the next train. He told her that there was a 24-hour cafe nearby where she could grab some food and nap for a while.
True enough, he walked her to the cafe and had a coffee with her before having to leave her to find a place to sleep for the night. He told her we would be back before 5 a.m to walk her back to the train station.
Morning came and it was a few minutes past 5. She stood up and thought he wasn’t going to return, so she tried to make her way back to the train station herself. As she left and turned around the corner, she noticed the homeless man running towards her. He apologised for being late and took her to where she needed to go!
