A retired teacher was in the line at the supermarket, waiting to do the evening shopping and get back to comfort of her home to call it a day. While waiting in the line, she looked around to pass the time and glanced at the people behind her in the line. She noticed a tall man with raggedy clothes and tattoos all over his arms. She also noticed he was with two young children. Knowing that it must be hard to wait in lines for long times with kids, she offered to let him go ahead of her. She kindly refused, saying that it was her right to be served first. When she asked him where he had learned his manners, his response had her frozen.
